Dear Parishioners,Today we celebrate the Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time. It is very appropriate that, in the middle of summer, we hear readings from Sacred Scripture that speak of the fruitful earth. Hope- fully, and as I write this it is the case, we can look around outside and see a cavalcade of green.Trees and grass, plants and flowers are nourished by the summer rain and sun. BECAUSE WE ARE CATHOLIC
The 2020 ACA campaign is here.
What the ACA does: The ACA campaign raises money to sustain Archdiocesan ministries which serve the area in a manner faithful to Her teachings. We feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, provide clinics and counseling, protect the unborn, aide in Catholic school tuition and teacher training…The list goes on. You can find out more at aca.archstl.org. We do all of this not because all recipients are Catholic, but Because We Are Catholic.
Why Now, During Challenging Times: We need both prayers and pledges more than ever. This year, the area’s needs are rising exponentially with unemployment. Any and all prayers and pledges are appreciated and will be put to work quickly. If you aren’t a parishioner and don’t anticipate getting a pledge card, we’d be honored to have you drop by the rectory and register. The number of ministries St. Monica has are many and your talents would be welcome!
For your sense of safety, we are offering 2 donation options.
- A pledge card will be mailed to every household address on record, which can be filled out and sent back to the rectory, OR:
- You can conveniently go online, TODAY, to donate and not wait for the cards to be mailed
Questions about the campaign always welcome: firstname.lastname@example.org Mary Fran Pike

St. Monica Parishioners, here is a FREE gift for you.
Formed.org has hundreds of movies, books, audio talks and more. There are selections for adults and children and teens. The new “Community Page” is tailored to St. Monica. Formed.org is designed to help our parish form adults, teens and children in the Catholic faith, and it can be used both here at the parish, in our own homes and on the go. You can access FORMED anytime on the web, using your computer, smartphone, or tablet and there’s also an app. It is extremely important that we as Catholics not only know our Catholic faith, but also bear witness to Christ in our daily lives, particularly in this time of the New Evangelization. We strongly encourage every parishioner to take advantage of this excellent resource and make it a priority to learn more about our faith so that we can not only live it out more deeply, but also share it with others.
