This will be brief as I return from a break last week. I did a lot of yardwork and landscaping, and my studio painting also. The rest was very good for me. I’m grateful to you all, and Msgr. Blood and the staff, for covering things here, I‘ll tell you a bit more next week.

Because I mainly want to highlight our New Parish Council. Continuing on the Council are Mark Hampton, Nicole Nimpson, Felix Ferrise, and Bob Radley. Appointed for balance of representation are Susan Hurt and Savitha Narandra. “Drawn from the Bowl” and accepting nomination and appointment by the Holy Spirit are Lynn Barnes, Lynn Mercurio, Rebecca Ernst, and Vicki Westall. All have committed to a 3-year term, other than extraordinary circumstances. This will give us the chance to gel and form a community of vision and leadership with me. As soon as it’s feasible, I want to implement a parish wide Strategic Planning Process, which I’ve done several times before and have been waiting to implement here. ALL parishioners will have several ways to give input, winding up with a plan to guide us in all areas the next few years. This is the best way I know for me to lead the Parish.

And oh yeah—HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all our mothers. I hope you get meals and warm times, and bouquets of flowers, and spiritual bouquets through the parish.

We’re now soon upon Pentecost. How exciting—let’s pray to the Holy Spirit to guide us in all these things, and in each of your family and home lives too.
