Dear and loving Saint Monica parish family,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to welcome all of you and share some exciting news. As you may have heard, our beloved St. Monica Parish will subsume St. John Bosco and St. Richard. While this process may come with its challenges, I believe it also presents us with a wonderful opportunity to come together as one community and embrace a new chapter of growth and unity.

First, I want to express my sincere gratitude for all the love and friendship that has been shared within our parish. Your contributions to the liturgical life of St. Monica have been immeasurable, and I am truly grateful for our time together. Although we will miss the familiarity of our current setting, I am humbly encouraging you to meet new families and friends in this God given situation.

With this merger, we welcome two esteemed senior associates, Fr. Joe Weber and Fr. Gene Robertson, to our community. They bring with them their wisdom and experience, and I encourage you all to extend a warm welcome to them as we embark on this new journey together. Additionally, I am pleased to have Fr. Tim Foley join us as a retired resident priest. His presence will surely enrich our parish life.

I understand that change can be challenging, but I kindly ask for your patience and support as we navigate this new chapter. I am fully committed to serving each and every one of you, and I want to assure you that my door is always open. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I will be making regular visits to both the St. John Bosco and St. Richard campuses, and I will communicate the details as soon as possible.

Lastly, I want to express my gratitude for the warm welcome I have received so far. It means a lot to me, and I feel blessed to be a part of this community. Let us come together in prayer, lifting each other up as we embark on this new journey. Together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant parish.

Thank you once again for your understanding and for embracing this new chapter with an open heart. May God’s blessings be abundant in all that we do.

I hope you will accommodate for the time being the new mass schedule. I totally understand that this change can affect some of your planned schedules. Additionally, PSR parents and children: we are combining the PSR with St. John Bosco and moving the meeting time to Sunday with 9:30 a.m. Mass and PSR until 12 noon. This will also make the students’ weekdays after heavy school work and games less stressful. I humbly pled our PSR teachers and parents to give me a bit of understanding and support in this new change.

You all remain blessed always . I am praying for each and every one of you. With heartfelt appreciation and warm regards,

Fr. Sebastian Mundackal
